I'm Miranda- Owner and Lead Saami (Reindeer Wrangler) here at Kansas City Reindeer!

Kansas City Reindeer was founded in 2018 on a dream and a vision for Kansas City. Our small family owned business is dedicated to teaching the Kansas City community about Reindeer and conservation.

People often ask me "How did you get into Reindeer?" I laugh and tell them it started when I was in the beginning phases of planning a Holiday event and realized after a couple of short phone calls my options were limited. However, the more research I did, the more I wanted to own reindeer. I began the lengthy process of researching everything I needed to know to become a reindeer owner. During this process, my family shared the same dreams and goals as me- as the months passed while we were waiting for our two deer our excitement grew.  Our breeder called us and offered us a third reindeer, and my father decided he wanted to purchase Donder. When our babies arrived on the farm - they brought all the magic and wonder of Christmas and we want to share this magic with as many people as possible. Our reindeer travel in the Kansas City Metro area and beyond doing public displays where they public is able to interact and learn more about the reindeer. Our deer are traveling off property less and less as we opened our farm to the public last year!

Last year was our first year open and each year we hope to add more and more activities and reindeer to the herd! We are only open for reservations during the Holiday but in Spring of 2025 we will open for more "Farm Day" Events!
